Speaking of Turris, my Omnia has got that single fancy SFP+ port. I sure can use it to make this box go brrrr aka 2.5 Gbps over copper, right? I've found this module β https://www.discomp.cz/turris-sfp-metalicky-modul-10-gbps-rj45_d113354.html β but it's ~100 β¬, and maybe there's something cheaper while still compatible?

@oleksandr any brand should work, i.e. FS.com, maybe Turris forum has tips
@palmer I've got that from the forum tips roughly, the only scary point for me still is that various people seem to have various experience with the same module. That generic 2.5G from FS should kinda work, but it looks like there's a debugging session ongoing on the forum right now.
/me shrugs
@oleksandr also I'd love an Omnia myself for that SFP port (I have a separate converter box right now) but the price is really still too much.
@vbabka Glad it was sponsored for me :). But I really use it as a Wi-Fi AP only with routing and AQM being done on a separate x86 Linux box.
@oleksandr oh what a waste then
@vbabka Actually, it's a pretty solid AP. As for AQM, I feel more confident with marking traffic with detailed nftables rules and then feeding it into tc-cake with diffserv8. Not sure how cumbersome it would be to migrate those rules to Turris.
