The hilarious thing about Musk's "fork in the road" emails is that Tesla's autopilot is actually really terrible at forks in the road. It will gleefully drive you into the orange divider if the markup on the road is anything but 100% freshly painted lines.

siddhesh_p@mastodon.social@monsieuricon even on roads with 100% painted lines it seems to occasionally do a terrible job as i found out when a tesla almost hit me last summer. The driver was oblivious to what had happened because they had their feet up and their head buried in the phone texting.
