I guess Trump's family is so weak that they have to grovel up to world powers to pay for their own kid's wedding.

@monsieuricon The brazenness is stunning, as is the general consensus to just pretend it's not happening.

Perhaps I'm too much of a pessimist, but I just don't see how -- short of a mass uprising -- we fix this system.

Not that the US is unique in this regard; Putin's influence is all over the place. I wish I could read the history book about this era in 50 years instead of living through it now... it will be fascinating if all this stuff ever comes out in the open.

And humans will learn nothing from it. Again.
