@dcz Floating point calculations are not exact, but my understanding is, that they should be inexact in the same way on all reasonable hardware...? (387 is not reasonable, newer stuff should be).

@dos @badrihippo @tripplehelix @jacobscharmberg I'm still using EDGE here, and I notice UMTS is now off, but GSM/GPRS/EDGE still works and is useful. (I do have hw with 4G, but data is quite expensive, so EDGE is "fast enough" when I'm at wifi, mostly, anyway. Modern phones are too big for a horse ride in summer).

If you are interested in the DHL crash, search youtube for "SwiftAir\ DHL\ Boeing\ B737-400\ Crash\ near\ Vilnius\ Airport\ \[uaDYV9IxJLo\]" for an ATC tape. But it seems to be plain-old CFIT/pilot error.

@mkyral Ano, osvobozovani rukojmich je vzdy rizikove. Na druhou stranu, Izraelci osvobodili neco jako 6 rukojmi (celkem!), no a 3 rukojmi se osvobodili sami, nacez je Izraelci zastrelili.

To by se opravdu dit nemelo, a stoji to za vysetreni. Snad se ho dockame.

Bibi patri pred soud. Izraelsky soudy to vedi, a chtely by ho videt, jenze ono je tezky zavirat predsedu vlady, takze dostavenicko zatim nebylo. A my bychom to taky meli vedet: v Gaze jsou nejaky desitky tisic mrtvejch. To jeste neni valecnej zlocin; jenze je tam trochu moc mrtvych civilistu. Coz teda porad jeste neni valecnej zlocin, treba jsou vojaci na civilisty fakt opatrny, a proste to nejak nevychazi, zive stity a tak. No jo, jenze ti vojaci zabili i rukojmi, ktere tam jeli zachranovat... tak asi tak uplne opatrny nejsou.

Mohli bychom mit spatne informace (mlha valky?)... jenze pak tu mame znepokojive vyroky izraelskych politiku. Treba...

@mkyral @lukasvac Me by se celkem libily prisnejsi pravidla pro mincovni automaty. Takovy to "50Kc neberem", "nevracime", "okradli jsme vas a co s tim udelate?", "tahle mince se nam nelibi, smuuula" je trochu beznejsi nez by melo byt.

@mkyral @lukasvac No, mozna by melo :-). Co bude priste? Vhodte 2x20Kc minci, k tomu 3x10kc minci a zbytek v korunach, nebo platite pokutu? Supermarket by si tohle nedovolil, nemocnice zneuziva toho ze je clovek v nouzi a tim padem ma "monopol".

@lupyuen ...and if you want esp32 for some reason, take a look at Lilygo T-Watch. Widely available, less than CZK2000 / $80, and very similar. I even have some patches in the firmware... But hard to use due to bad battery life, and #Espruino is really better solution for the software.

@sesivany @codemonkeymike @dottorblaster x86 is misdesigned. ARM less so, RISC-V should be even better. Process improvements stopped -> x86 has no long term chance.

@lupyuen Esp32 means battery life will be poor. If you want "smartwatch that's doing everything right", well, there's no such thing but Bangle.js2 is close.
