@mivox Add #oneplus6 to the list. But yes, PinePhone is likely best.

@insl @EdenIsASpood x86-64 PC used as a phone. It is quite heavy at more than 300 grams, still... its a PC with video out, ethernet and normal sized USB ports. I'd really like phone in 100gram range, still, this is fun hack.

Yeah, so this is fun. If 737 max hits a bird, it takes out fan blade, which results in oil going into air conditioning. So pilots have to deal with double failure: smoke and engine severe damage, at the same time. They are _not_ trained for that. At least Mentour pilot believes that's not ok. One mitigation would be to turn off airconditioning during takeoff, so at least you don't get smoke + failed engine at the V_1.

@gudenau @dcz Is that those "power button with fingerprint sensor" thingies? I guess we'll first want the fingerprint stuff working, but yes, that could be useful.

@dcz @gudenau Yeah, except that's focus, not optical zoom. But I guess we'll need something on touchscreen. I suggest taking focus/exposure on press, and taking photo on release.

@cas @usia Imx371 seems to support only 10bit bayer. (Thanks for pointers!). Ok, that should be improvement over Librem 5. I guess next step is configuring Megapixels and trying to get some real images from it.

@linmob @lupyuen Yeah, new pebble seems to be bangle.js2, started from scratch, with 3 buttons instead of 1 :-). Maybe they can get some headstart by just using b.js2 hardware, or maybe software, too? :-)

@usia @cas Nice :-(. Can you get me some metadata? Which sensor works, resolution, what format does it use? (BGGR8? BGGR10? Something better?) I am using Librem 5, but that only has 8-bit bayer working (and many other problems).

@hrw @penguin42 Is there modern / free software clone of that / documentation / youtube demo? I have FreeDOS here, but it can't really do multiple consoles, which makes it pretty hard to use for me.

@deshipu Overhead. Plan 9 was based on your idea, IIRC. And you can have that today, with mount --bind, chroot, namespaces and similar technology. As most Unix machines are single-user anyway, these days, it does not matter much.
