Xen 4.17 is out! Building on top of Xen Dom0less, the community has worked very hard to improve Xen for static partitioning configurations. Xen 4.17 turns Xen into a featureful static partitioning hypervisor for embedded.

Thanks to Penny Zheng, Luca Fancellu, Rahul Singh, Artem Mygaiev, Oleksandr Tyshchenko, Wei Chen, Michał Orzeł and all the other passionate engineers that made it happen! A special thanks to Henry Wang who did an amazing job as release manager.

@ehashman Where is the right place and what is the right community to discuss Open Source topics that are not strictly about licenses? Because you are completely right that licenses only get you so far. Just talking about software alone, for a healthy community the license is not sufficient.

If you're in the MAINTAINERS file, you can have a social.kernel.org account (but only if you need one -- no need to go around collecting fediverse accounts if you don't intend to use them). Send a request to helpdesk@kernel.org.
