Congrats to space x guys on successful alunch, I hate Musk but there are talented people working there around/despite him :)
Many of their claims are dubious at best but getting down to reality, just making rockets work at all is always magical to me

@monsieuricon no apparently they were only testing the launch part of it so it blowing up later is not a big deal.

@awesomeknight musk's claims about mars are, like most of what he says, pure fantasy. I mean obviously and blatantly so but he has an audience of idiot admirers who believe everything he says.
Just a classic con artist really.
Money could be better spent but I am all for space missions, money could _always_ be better spent arguably (and once you get into things, you find that trying to solve some problems with money don't work due to various factors but that's another conversation).
We must do what we can for people but also put money into greater things too. Of course Musk doesn't fit into the latter category...
