I mostly agree, but I would not want to bet on how long it will take for that to happen. One or two years maybe? Five? Even more?

On the other hand there is still Linus "there can only be one" stance towards the scheduler, which might be a factor here in favour of the nay-sayers [Edit: yes, I understand that the BPF extensible scheduler class is just a class in the one and only scheduler, but still].

We'll see.
