Does the Linux kernel community accept anonymous contributions? I now wonder for the first time in a while.

@itaru it was recently amended to allow "known identity" and not only "real name" but still not completely "anonymous" see https://docs.kernel.org/process/submitting-patches.html#developer-s-certificate-of-origin-1-1 also @gregkh did that change IIRC.

@vbabka @gregkh thank you! As a person subscribing to the famous @asb ’s LLVM Weekly letter , often nicknames or first names only have discussions. Thus I wondered a bit.

@vbabka @itaru It was not me, it was Linus over a year ago and I acked the change, as did the LF head of legal, see the commit log text for more information about it: https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d4563201f33a022fc0353033d9dfeb1606a88330
