@captainepoch But I enjoyed seeing the option I voted for get 17320082% support! :)

@dtometzki What's the command to refresh the feeds with `tut`? I haven't found any way other than exit and restart it.

@securepaul Yes, Tusky is nice (and works with other fediverse platforms like Pleroma). That said, it was also quite nice to use the previous releases of mastodon as light web apps without needing a dedicated app on your phone, and the new UI makes this option less attractive.

The masto4 mobile interface is kinda wasteful, no? I don't need the top bar and I definitely don't need the side bar. Bad UI decisions, imo.

@thelinuxcast the edits are likely only visible on other masto4 instances (i.e. not on other fediverse platforms).

@rostedt well, I guess, thank you for not tooting.

@rostedt sure, why not. It's an official service open to all kernel maintainers.

@gregvogt You're not wrong, but it's only called "Toot" on Mastodon, not on Pleroma or other platforms. :)

The neat thing about toot is that you don't really have to run a full a full TUI just to post a thought. You can just `toot post` and type away.

Oh, nice btop is finally in Fedora. If you haven't tried btop yet, I recommend it!

@toxision @kcinimod Hm... I'm not familiar enough with it to pass judgment, but let's just say it took me a few tries before I figured out how to reply to this post. :)

@eliasp Oh, I remember using that terminal with my raspberry pi, but the novelty wore out after about 5 minutes. :)

Speaking of fediverse clients -- if you like to stay within the terminal, you can always use toot (https://github.com/ihabunek/toot).

@captainepoch No, I totally get it. If it's no longer bringing you satisfaction and joy, then walking away is absolutely the right thing to do. :) It's volunteer-maintained free software, not a job (or a puppy).

You're also under no obligation to listen to the complainers -- it's totally okay to ignore everyone else and just hack on the parts you like (assuming you have time and interest). The unfortunate reality of free software development is that the happy majority doesn't speak up and all you hear are complaints. From all the Android apps I've tried to use with social.kernel.org, Husky was the smoothest experience. Thank you, and if you do decide to come back to it in the future, know that you have a solid support base to lean on.
