I've replaced my previous AI slop profile picture with another AI slop profile picture. Do not be alarmed.

(Yes, I'm sitting in a meeting.)

(I secretly love it, though. Way to go, Icelandic, you are awesome.)

Yeah, that's a voiceless "r" at the end of that [หˆtaหษฃสrฬฅ]. There's also a voiceless "n" and a voiceless "m" that you only distinguish by looking at the person's mouth.

This post was influenced by Icelandic. Unfortunately, this is the only sensible thing about the Icelandic writing system. Everything else about Icelandic writing is JUST MESSED UP.

I almost stopped learning Norwegian when I found out that they call gums "tooth meat" (tannkjรธtt).

This concludes this morning's linguistic exercise, brought on by waiting on `dnf update` to complete.

@toast sorry to hear that! This discussion is purely linguistic, I assure you!

English should have never abandoned "รฐ" and "รพ."

I know many people hate the word "moist," but I get similarly visceral reaction to "growth."

For what it's worth, I loathe them both.

@vbabka was it really "high density," as the hole on the bottom right of the disk claims it was? :)

@kernellogger @sven @vegard `b4 shazam -M` will create these merge commits automatically and let you edit the cover letter to trim it down if needed.

@ljs @kernellogger @brauner @sven @vegard Well, not just that, but he makes assumptions that are incorrect (like that we can always match a patch with the commit using git-patch-id). I realize provenance links are not useful to *him*, but they play an important role for a lot of other people and tools in the Linux ecosystem.
