56 years ago, just after midnight on 21 August #1968, troops from the Warsaw Pact (led by the Soviet Union, now ) invaded . It was a turning point and one of the saddest days in our history. The occupation lasted for 23 years. But in a way it began much earlier, in 1948, when the Communist Party, controlled by the Soviet Union, came to power. The terrible ideology of Marxism-Leninism, the period of totalitarianism.

“Close the Gate, Little Brother!” is a famous song written by Karel Kryl immediately after the invasion began. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.

Interesting story -- https://www.gotheborg.se/en/news/rescue-of-sailing-boat/ -- being rescued by 50 meter sailboat. I was wondering if they did rescue on sails, Gotheborg has 1MW propulsion system, so answer is likely no.

Mbank ma dalsi metodu jak sikanovat uzivatele. Pri platbe po internetu _musite_ souhlasit se zpracovanim osobnich udaju, chteji prepisovat nejaky ctyri slova... a jeste 8mi mistny kod z smsky. Pripominam ze pin je 4mistny a nemeni se. Nejak si nemyslim ze tohle ma technicke duvody...

O ruznych skrytych poplatcich (bankomaty v zahranici, pokusy vnutit vam nevyhodny kurz pri platbe v zahranici) jim taky dobrou reklamu nedelaj.

I use FoxtrotGPS a lot for off-line map displays, but it seems its no longer available in Droidian. What is supposed to replace it?

Fighting with BangleJS2 smartwatch. It can compensate for clock drift... But according to my measurements, error is on order of 600ppm... which is 10x what compensation app seems to be expecting. OTOH 600ppm is 50seconds a day, and that's in line with drift I was seeing.

Dnešní Třešnička™ bude o dobré vůli. Tu projevil německý diktátor Adolf Hitler, když oznámil, že jediná možnost, jak předejít válce a dosáhnout trvalého míru je okamžité stažení československých jednotek z Děčínska, Českolipska, Karlovarska a dalších regionů Československa, kompletní demilitarizace Sudet, dekomunizace, absolutní neutralita a zrušení všech sankcí vůči nacistickému Německu. Počkejte, to ne, vždyť kalendář ukazuje rok 2024. Jo, tady, pardon. Ruský! diktátor Putin přednesl své požadavky k ukončení války na Ukrajině. Napadená země má podle něj stáhnout své jednotky z Luhanské, Doněcké, Záporožské a Chersonské oblasti, musí se vzdát svého cíle vstoupit do NATO, uznat Krym za ruský a musí dojít ke zrušení všech sankcí proti Rusku. Pak teprve podle něj bude možné okamžitě ukončit bojové operace a začít jednat o míru. Milé, že i Zelenský si při reakci na tento “plán” vzpomněl na ČSR. Pokud se ptáte na náš názor, tak jestli si starý pán z Kremlu chce zachovat aspoň ždibíček důstojnosti měl by odejít než prorazí další dno absurdna. Kartac na vrtacce je docela zajimava hracka. Nekterejm konim se to pry libi, no, tak uz vime ze zlutakovi moc ne, ale s pamlskama to zvladnul. Teda na rameni, nohy bych asi musel chvili ucit.

@Luigi311 Yep. It still uses the /tmp trick, but now it encodes and deletes files from /tmp during recording. You'll need to patch pinephone config to switch to YUV and preview will be black&white.
