What a week it's been...

Hearing that a family member might die soon (very old, having had a good innings so sad but not tragic).

1 bit of good news, immediately switching into a possibly terrible crisis.

Then something truly awful that would utterly destroy my life as I know it coming very close to happening, and still might hanging over me like a dark cloud.

Then some good news.

The bits of good news are welcome and I'm grateful, but the bad has overwhelmed and I feel just worn out and beat up.

Sometimes it feels that no matter what I do, I am cursed, and even when things start to go right, crises spring out to ruin it all...
