If the -j option is given without an argument, make will not limit the number of jobs that can run simultaneously.

I had assumed it'd behave the same as -j $(nproc) or maybe -j $(($(nproc) + 1)) or something.

This default is crack-addled

@ljs lol I recall reading it in "Linux Kernel in a Nutshell" book and I was shocked in the same way
