@oleksandr, dat is no boršč, whichever way you understand boršč!!!111 Not борщ, not боршч, not barszcz, not barščiai.
HOW DARE THEM! 😡
@andrew_shadura You may be surprised, but even green and white boršč do exist, also sublimed, also in Ukraine. I haven't tried this though, so cannot judge. Everything I had in the restaurants here was a complete failure though, so my expectations are obviously very low.
@oleksandr, I know they exist, but I’m fairly sceptical anything of non-standard colours in Czechia (or Slovakia) can remotely resemble the actual thing.
@vbabka Not this time, thanks. I was here today though: https://bratrs.cz/ Highly recommended, ate varenyky!
@ljs @andrew_shadura Nope, although it's a fact that cats do tend to prefer aged boršč.
@oleksandr, to my surprise, on two occasions boršč in random non-Ukrainian restaurants in Bratislava was fairly good. On multiple occasions it was closer to jókai or gulyás though 😃
@andrew_shadura Near Hungary everything tends to be Hungarian-like.
@Xen4n You don't wish me a good health do you?
@ljs @oleksandr @andrew_shadura "this aged like boršč"
@oleksandr @andrew_shadura yeah
what you got young man
that's just green boršč officer
@vbabka Yes, owners should be Czechs AFAIK. Maybe they are not quite typical as one could expect, which is an outstanding thing on its own.
@andrew_shadura Never visited (un)fortunately.
@oleksandr @vbabka that's a pity i fancy myself a good czech pepík
@ljs @andrew_shadura @lkundrak Yellow boršč is not yellow snow.
