@monsieuricon planning to visit any portuguese speaking country?
O Brasil é um país muito acolhedor :)
@monsieuricon muito bom saber! Bons estudos :) feel free to ask anything in/about Portuguese:)
@vbabka @monsieuricon No, we keep bears in the bathroom because, with their thick fur, they absorb any lingering humidity and convert it into a delightful, fruity mist that fills the room. It is pretty useful around beaches.
@vbabka @monsieuricon Now, I'm thinking about the image I'm selling from Brazil here: pickpocket, bears, and humidity.
The funny thing is we don't have bears in Brazil. Actually, there is only one bear species on all South America, the Spectacled bear, but he lives in the Andes.
@ljs @monsieuricon @vbabka I never saw a Wandering Spider in my shoes. TBH the only animals I see around are mosquitos, Pomeranian puppies, and small crabs on the beach.
I'll start a new campaign in my Mastodon, called "Brazil is great, let's host LPC 2026 here, please bring Kernel Hackers to the tropics"
@mairacanal @ljs @monsieuricon @vbabka I have never seen a Wandering Spider in my shoes either. 🦶
@ljs @monsieuricon @vbabka I only heard one story about spiders hidden inside shoes, but it was on the countryside and 30 years ago.
In the city, I only remember about the time that they found a tiger wandering around my university and they shutdown classes for a day.
@ljs @monsieuricon @vbabka Come on, not bears, just "big cats", as the news put it
Also crocodiles never stopped you from going to Florida, so let's enjoy a warm and quite LPC in Copacabana
@ljs @monsieuricon @vbabka Lorenzo, let's face it, you are dreaming about the day you'll be in Copacabana beach drinking Caipirinhas with your MM bros
