Fuck me the sanctimonious shit you get on fedi...

A couple guys reply to my thread IN GERMAN because it's not at all arrogant or presumptuous to not even use google translate but to just expect me to, DEMANDING I add an alt-text to an image, and one of them SETS A FUCKING LLM BOT ON ME.

What the fuck are you guys doing?

Oh and one small issue - I had already added a fucking alt-text.

The finger wagging in this place is insane, what is wrong with you people?

@ljs FWIW, I do not see any alt text for that picture in that toot.

@oleksandr yeah I wont' bother trying to add it again then.

Doesn't change anything, don't tell me what to fucking do.

@ljs I'm suggesting it could be a federation issue, pure technical.

@oleksandr yes I read English I know what you mean, that takes nothing away from the finger wagging and setting of a bot on me.

I had also replied to the first one explaining I had set it.

Who ignored me.

The second ignored that too.

If I could put an alt text to your toot it would be 'observe, a man who missed the point'

@ljs After reading your reply I sighed, and my wife (not knowing the context why I sighed) told me "I want you to smile not to sigh". So, :).

@oleksandr @vbabka oh what was it? My complaint is the finger wagging, it's not a gotcha that there was a technical issue.

Even if I hadn't put the alt text my point stands...

Sigh for me Sasha

@vbabka @ljs Fucking obvious choice. My wife has got a mention in the kernel's git log way before Lorenzo became a maintainer.

@oleksandr @ljs are you saying I took an obvious choice and put it into a meme template that makes it appear as a really difficult choice?

@oleksandr @vbabka if I ate Ukrainian food I'd get fat again.

Instead I eat English food and lose weight

@vbabka @oleksandr that's when he turns to his wife and tries to smile but out of the corner of his eye he sees my post and has a croissant in his mouth and half sighs and half chokes

@ljs @vbabka Because English food is so bad you wanna cry, but you go to the gym and spend your liquids on sweating instead of crying.

@ljs @vbabka I adore how this stand up went from bitching on German bots to wishing me being dead because of choking.

@ljs a lot of national cuisines here, some very fine and cooked with love, as anywhere in the world i guess.

but if one does not pay attention (and money) to find those fine places, the general level is way below what's considered a norm in europe, imho.

also, if one doesn't talk fine restaurants and has to cook for oneself, the quality of those ingredients and sugar-packed components is abyssmal.

there, sorry :-/ maybe that's just my impression and i miss europe too much?

@ljs last one: never, ever ask for coffee while in america, montreal included — ask specifically for espresso ;-)

@tivasyk sad, I assumed the French element would sort it out...

Europe does have incredible ingredients though, things like cheese are hard to get I imagine
