For me, the biggest challenge of driving in New Zealand isn't the right-hand drive - it's the combination of narrow lanes and high speeds.
​Cruising from Christchurch to Oamaru took me over 3.5 hours of high mental tension. With just one lane each way and no median barriers, having cars fly past at 100km/h is intense. I felt stuck in a dilemma: at 95km/h, people were tailgating me; at 100km/h, I was worried about speed traps. My most frequent move? Checking for passing lanes, hitting the left indicator, and letting everyone zoom past! 😅
