I really should have gotten a Korean visa, just so I could leave Incheon Airport and sleep in a real hotel bed during layover blobcatsnore

@ljs Less than 2 years?! That's absolutely insane.

For me, the biggest challenge of driving in New Zealand isn't the right-hand drive - it's the combination of narrow lanes and high speeds.
โ€‹Cruising from Christchurch to Oamaru took me over 3.5 hours of high mental tension. With just one lane each way and no median barriers, having cars fly past at 100km/h is intense. I felt stuck in a dilemma: at 95km/h, people were tailgating me; at 100km/h, I was worried about speed traps. My most frequent move? Checking for passing lanes, hitting the left indicator, and letting everyone zoom past! ๐Ÿ˜…

@ljs exactly, for example, email could have a trust score, kind of like spam detection. or patches should get the same treatment as essays: run them through a detector to see how likely they were written by AI :P

@ljs It's pretty foreseeable that we'll be seeing a lot more of this! In the AI era, the barrier to submitting patches has basically disappeared. Anyone can just ask Codex or Claude to spot some minor issues and whip up a few patches. I honestly feel like we might soon reach a point where we just can't keep up with reviewing all of them. AI coding has only really been a thing for two years now. I can't even begin to imagine what it'll be like in another two!

@ljs Yeah exactly, it can help me make a whole PPT in a few minutes on something I'm not even that familiar with, write all the speaker notes too, and then I basically just stand there and read

I might have been the only person who actually fell for this patch[1]. I genuinely thought this code was about to be deleted. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Well played. @vbabka @hyeyoo @ljs
