Koitan sanoa tämän kuulostamatta ylimieliseltä, mutta joka kerta kun olen erehtynyt katsomaan #jälkidigi:n #yleisradio:n #areena:sta, niin #keskustelu:n johtopäätelmät on olleet jopa 180 astetta aivan pieleen. Se on ollut ihan käsittämättömän näkökulmatonta #some-keskustelun tyylistä roskaa. On pitänyt oikein erikseen varoittaa ei niin IT:stä ymmärtäviä ystäviä, että älkää katsoko sitä ohjelmaa.

En monestakaan asiasta tiedä edes alkumetrejä, mutta siinä on ollut niin käsittämättömän raskaita yliampuvia kevytkenkäisesti tehtyä johtopäätelmiä, että kyllä tyhmempikin (eli minä) sen huomaa heti. Kukin #keskustelija muodostaa mielipiteensä sen mukaan, miten asioiden toivoisi olevan ilman minkäänlaista itsekritiikin häivää.

Ya, we all have different needs :-) in the open source world the jobs mostly go through knowing someone who knows someone, and involvement in the open source projects with enough visibility. So you kind of are already connected with your possible future employers already. If you have a private business, of course you need factors more social media visibility :-) It makes then business sense...

@rolle if i had a company that i needed to advertise then probably linkedin would be required. now it has not really helped much in anything except consume time...

@rolle i have only facebook and kernel mastodon :-) i deleted my #twitter and #linkedin accounts recently. the result: i get tons emails on the subject why i have banned those people, did they something i did not like etc. #detox

Sannaa erityisesti kritisoimatta, #keynote:t on #konferenssi:en huttuhetkiä, jolloin on mukava käydä esimerkiksi läheisessä #kahvila:ssa syömässä #aamupala:a :-) Ihmettelen välillä, että miksi pitää konferenssista toiseen käydä kuuntelemassa kolmen tai seitsemän kohdan lista siitä, miten pitäisi olla ja elää.

#fediverse has also #extremist's but you are not just bombarded with the garbage, as there is no proprietary algorithm controlling your #feed.

my feed looks more like a coffee break room at an office than a bathroom wall at a drug den, which is the standard in centralized platforms.

still, such proprietary algorithm could be active at a portion of the fediverse, e.g. if #instagram #threads joins in but then it is more like a shopping center in a city, which is much less harmful.
