i stick to nasm because of incorrect terminology and no use for assembler as dso i guess. i would get multiarch support as a reason for rewrite but dso is not very interesting feature.

I only know Intel and AT&T syntax, never heard of NASM and GAS syntax. I learned and enjoyed first Intel syntax with Borland Turbo Assembler when still using MS-DOS, and in adult age I have had to suffer from horrible AT&T syntax that kernel uses (and more widely many of the core'esque open source projects). I still have hard times with AT&T crap...

so yasm vs. nasm? :-) confusing, i was aware only of latter and that's what i've been using in the past (not very recently, mostly just gas).

@ssundell vähän ihmetytti se tossa keississä, että varoituksen saa, kun ei käytetä "talonpoikasjärkeä" vaan sen sijaan toimitaan ohjeiden mukaan... ja samasta syystä voi menettää vielä apulaiskaupunginjohtajan luottamuksen.

@escape If you only deal with source code that is written with Rust then I guess there’s no issue because you need to anyway pass clippy but otherwise conventions can be varying. And as said getting .helix to every possible upstream project is not really a feasible solution for this tbh.

I’d wish helix also had a formatting action that can format text that it does not know syntax of, i.e. something that is not “treesitter-aware” such as this text I’m writing right now because I response dozens of emails each working day.

Not saying that helix is bad if it works for you. It is just not very capable at this point of time, if you need to contribute to upstream projects.

@miiko alustassa ei oo otettu huomioon käyttötapausta, missä ei ole ovikoodia ja rappukäytävää, ja kyseessä ei ole silti omakotitalo/rivari. mun asunto on entinen liiketila joka on muutettu 70-luvulla asunnoksi, ja sisäpihalla ulko-ovi.

@miiko no siis parilla aiemmalla kerralla oon löytänyt tyyliin jostain kadulta ruoan eli varmaan moraali pettänyt. tommosessa orjatyössä en ihmettele tai en voi sanoa etteikö itselläkin olisi jos joutusin tuiskussa ja viimassa kuskaa ruokaa nälkäpalkalla

melkein suosittelisin tollasta joukkokapinaa wolt-kuskeille, että jonain päivänä kaikki kuskit tekis noin

katsoin tyttöystävän kanssa #leijonanluola:n ekan jakson. OK, myönnetään se itse keksintö oli vähän mitä nyt oli mut se tilitys sen jälkeen kuinka rauta on niin vaikeeta, että ei sellaista bisnestä Suomeen. Thanks Nokia but no thanks ja sillein.

Sit tulee jotain lääkehourusen kuulosta hölinää kaarnan nuuhkimisesta ja metsässä sekoilusta. Ei mitään teknokraatteja ainakaan nämä puunhalaajaleijonat.

Tajuun kyl tod että ei tollaista keksintöä kukaan alaa rahoittaa, mut siis en yhtään ymmärtänyt sitä taantumuksellista läpän heittoa sen jälkeen.

aiemmin sanoin että en käytä #wolt:a eettisten syiden takia, mikä on totta.

toinen syy on se, että se alusta ei toimi. mulla on asunto #tampere:n ydinkeskustassa, mutta sen ulko-ovi ei ole rappukäytävässä. ne muutamat kerrat kun oon tyypannut, niin sitä saa olla lähikaduilla puhelimen kanssa etsimässä kuskia. woltilla on karttamerkintä, mutta ei se kyllä mitään tunnu auttavan.

myös #foodora:a kokeilin jossain vaiheessa, ruoka ei tullu lainkaan perille, ja ne ei maksanut rahoja takaisin, koska olin kuulemma ottanut ruoan vastaan :-)

eli vaikka haluaisin käyttää, niin en oo tarpeeksi vippi noiden asiakkaaksi i guess...

@escape Editor config does not change what I expect in brains when I open a random file :-) I mean even bash scripts can have a whole umbrella of different indenting styles. Smart editors suck in ad-hoc.
