@gregvogt You're not wrong, but it's only called "Toot" on Mastodon, not on Pleroma or other platforms. :)

The neat thing about toot is that you don't really have to run a full a full TUI just to post a thought. You can just `toot post` and type away.

Oh, nice btop is finally in Fedora. If you haven't tried btop yet, I recommend it!

@toxision @kcinimod Hm... I'm not familiar enough with it to pass judgment, but let's just say it took me a few tries before I figured out how to reply to this post. :)

@eliasp Oh, I remember using that terminal with my raspberry pi, but the novelty wore out after about 5 minutes. :)

Speaking of fediverse clients -- if you like to stay within the terminal, you can always use toot (https://github.com/ihabunek/toot).

@captainepoch No, I totally get it. If it's no longer bringing you satisfaction and joy, then walking away is absolutely the right thing to do. :) It's volunteer-maintained free software, not a job (or a puppy).

You're also under no obligation to listen to the complainers -- it's totally okay to ignore everyone else and just hack on the parts you like (assuming you have time and interest). The unfortunate reality of free software development is that the happy majority doesn't speak up and all you hear are complaints. From all the Android apps I've tried to use with social.kernel.org, Husky was the smoothest experience. Thank you, and if you do decide to come back to it in the future, know that you have a solid support base to lean on.

@drewdevault I think the language restriction doesn't apply to replies.

@captainepoch I know it doesn't really help (and I'm not trying to convince you of anything), but with the social.kernel.org instance running pleroma, that's a lot of potential Husky users very comfortable with email-based workflows. :)

@captainepoch I'm sorry... and I totally get it. Thank you for your work and best wishes!

@obsidianical it's a fediverse app for Android that's a fork of Tusky with some pleroma-specific tweaks (and a better visual feel, I find). It's no longer developed by its latest maintainer, but I'm hoping that changes in the future as someone else picks it up.

I'm still bummed about Husky. 😭 I hope someone picks it up and continues work on it. #huskyapp

@gustavoars @kees more like mailman-2 is broken, or can be easily made broken by its admins.

@trini yes, unless writefreely doesn't make it. It's intended for longer blog posts.
