@rddunlap Nah, it's too late now. It's not that bad, really.

All restarts and reboots are done and everything is running in enforcing mode. If you notice anything that's not working correctly, please report. #selinux

I have riscv envy -- I should have called "b4" "biv". It would have certainly made it easier to track mentions on lore, as "b4" matches all the hex dumps.

FYI: this instance may get a bit unstable in the next few hours as I'm going to turn the pleroma selinux policy into enforcing mode. There should be no lasting outages, but you may see an occasional availability blip.

@danderson I feel this in my bones. :)

Another good option that works well for me is to just use the Hermit app and to set up your pleroma instance as a lite app. The UI looks great (and you can filter your timelines), but you don't get notifications. Though this may be a bonus, actually.

Unfortunately, I just found out that the upstream developer of Husky doesn't have time to continue working on the app, so please consider using either Tusky or Fedilab.

@vbabka @kdave Not sure, and I just found out that Husky is no longer maintained as of 6 days ago. :(

@kdave (it's actually not Mastodon :))

If you're looking for an Android app, I recommend Husky. Tusky or Fedilab work fine, too.

If you're in the MAINTAINERS file, you can have a social.kernel.org account (but only if you need one -- no need to go around collecting fediverse accounts if you don't intend to use them). Send a request to helpdesk@kernel.org.

Or, actually, I may be wrong. It looks like pleroma-2.4 supports this on the API backend, but there is no support for setting the alias in the frontend UI. Well, that's a bit annoying. 🀨

Looks like account aliases and migration were implemented in the upcoming pleroma-2.5 release.

So, unfortunately if you're moving from Mastodon, there is no easy street to take here (yet).

@pdp7 I don't think it's a recent change. We can also do a lot more with diffs and git integration -- I think there are lots of features in public-inbox that we aren't using yet, like ability to see more/less diff context and whether a patch is already in a tree.

It's on my list of things to investigate soon.

This is what happens when you're in the middle of applying config management changes and then realize you're late for your kid's orthodontist appointment, so you dash off before you can see the run complete successfully.

Test, test, looks like I managed not to murder it?

I confess that I don't really like Fedora Silverblue, but it's purely because I feel all of its immutable features make it super difficult for me to tinker with my OS. I just want a regular setup where partitions are partitions and mounts are mounts, and changing resolvers and /etc/hosts is straightforward.

This is just my personal take on it, though -- if you're happy using a browser and flatpaks for all your apps, then by all means, use Silverblue.

OK, the goal today is to make pleroma run within the SELinux confinement.
