@denix Yes, but one that can sanely do nested arrays and dicts.

@kushal with tomllib now native, it's a no-brainer for Python apps.

Never thought I'd say this, but TOML is so much saner than YAML for config files. If you're starting from scratch and need a config file for your app, pick TOML.

@shreyan Oh, it's dull. Linus fixes a dishwasher and posts about it. As a result, my PostgreSQL database falls over.

Okay, let's try this again, with moar coars.

Who knew that fixing a dishwasher could break a PostgreSQL instance.

I was probably a bit optimistic hoping that we can make do with a 2-core instance anyway. Let's up to 4 cores and see if that makes any discernible difference.

Well, I think it's clear that we need a faster DB instance if we want to avoid getting hugged to death every time Linus posts something.

LLMs will make our jobs obsolete, you mark my words. If you don't believe me, just look at millions of truck drivers who are out of work due to the rise of self-driving cars -- just as it was predicted 10 years ago.

@ljs @vbabka miles are generally not used at all. Feet/inches/lbs are used for humans and construction equipment/materials.

Nothing like spending the first really warm day of spring in your basement watching a faraway server fail to boot.

I've got the power! But there was also a loud boom, followed by an ominous flicker. It's still on, but I'm wondering if there's a blown transformer box somewhere nearby.

@a1ba "we're working hard to restore power to all affected households." :)

And they *are* -- I see the results on the map. There are just still a lot of affected areas.
