Note, Trump has already cut off all funding for Ukraine via his limp sockpuppet in congress.

Mstyslav Chernov, Michelle Mizner and Raney Aronson-Rath win the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature Film for "20 Days in Mariupol."

Mstyslav Chernov, director, said -
"I am honored but I will probably be the first director on this stage to say that I wish I had never made this film."

β€œI wish to be able to exchange this for Russia never attacking Ukraine, never invading our cities. I wish to be able to exchange this for Russian not killing 10,000 of my fellow Ukrainians.”

@Anarcat That's only for people who write "OCD" as "CDO" (because that way the letters are in alphabetical order).

@labbott well, no, I don't actually write that (I don't intentionally try to be a jerk to people :)). I just quietly suffer.

@Yuki I just use "Eastern" or "Pacific" or whatnot. "Let's meet around 1PM Pacific" -- is unambiguous and not that much longer to type. :)

Like this post if you start your message back with "assuming you mean EDT..."

Welcome back to the time of year when my OCD is triggered every time someone tries to schedule a meeting with me in "EST."

I propose referring to "open-core" software as "open-sore" -- it will intentionally bleed you unless you pay for the enterprise version.

@ada I think at this point everyone on Fedi mostly understands that following someone gives you a whole-human experience. :)

@lkundrak @b0rk it's one of those rules like with Spanish where you can start your sentence with "yo" or skip it, doesn't matter -- it's just something you do or don't. :) I like to be explicit, plus it's not like HEAD takes that long to type.

@b0rk also 'git verify-commit HEAD' to make sure the sources are trusted (only if you use git commit signing).

@b0rk 'git show HEAD' to see what was the last thing you worked on.

Engineering,

My calisthenics program has a problem. Instead of proper opponents the holodeck is only creating cartoon ponies.

@oathboundFamiliar It's also a stupid recommendation. I've hired a lot of people through my career and whenever someone followed up with a thank-you note, I always had the impression that they were trying to game the process or following some "best practices" doc they found online. A simple "Thank you very much for this interview" at the end of the call will go dramatically further (and make sure the other side says the same thing, or it's a warning flag).

@Ten there is a Spanish version of this joke:

- ΒΏConoces-tu el sΓmbolo quΓmico del silicio?
- Si.
- Puedes dime-lo?
- Si, Si!
