@pdp7 can you tell me which frontend? Looking at "host lore.kernel.org" should let you know which one.

@kees I have not considered this brevectuality, but I'm starting to suspect that a brevect is something you may order with a cup of covfefe.

@gulovsen My first guess was that it was about a "patent" (brevet in French), but who knows.

Brevect like "brexit" but you actually evict them.

I am having an amusing and/or deranged conversation with someone who is trying to gaslight me into being ashamed for not knowing what a "brevect" is. (Also, their preferred mechanism for quoting emails in replies appears to be to cut-and-paste screenshots.)

So, what *is* a "brevect" about which the "kernel staff' should totally know? Let your imagination run wild, I'm curious.

@puppygirlhornypost2 I'm with you on this one, but there's a very simple explanation for this -- when you're not using the app, you're not generating user data that the company was planning to sell. So, when you install an app but don't actually use it, you're a) bringing down someone's KPIs, b) eating into the company's planned revenue.

(My apologies if I came across as a rando explain guy -- I actually had this very conversation with one of my kids very recently, so it was fresh on my mind.)

@deferred Don't want to know what a "dream foul" would be...

Dream pitchers and dream shortstops? Is there an entire dream team?

The existence of "dream catchers" suggests that there are also "dream throwers."

Gotta say, if an unknown new printer shows up in my print dialog, my first thought won't be "cool, let's try printing to it."

Today's lesson: If a new printer shows up out of nowhere, don't print on it. πŸ₯±
