@gnomon looks like the North American frontend didn't get the "reread your config" memo. It should be better now.

Was... was the person designing this graphic actually, you know, familiar with the story of St. George and the dragon?

@synlogic4242 Yeah, but this doesn't look like spam. I have no idea what could have resulted in an email going out to helpdesk with this body.

@stux haven't you played "Forbidden West"? They'll just become a future-me problem.

@hughsie @swick @coderabbitai yes, the Co-Authored-By tag litters commits with a bogus email address as well and should just never be used.

I am now an owner of a Brother embroidery machine. Spent much of Sunday poring over Ink/Stitch tutorials, but I'm yet to take the actual machine out of the box.

Who needs a 3d printer when you can 2d print something by rapidly stabbing it with a sharp implement.

Whoever called it "ipv8" missed a golden opportunity to call it "ipv6-7".

@ljrk I don't get the reference, probably due to my sheltered North American existence. :)

EU traffic to lore.kernel.org is now served by two OVH-hosted nodes, one in Strasbourg, another in Warsaw.

Huge thanks to OVH for their support!

I had the nerdiest and most dad-jokiest dream. In the dream, we got new neighbours who had a college-aged daughter. When we invited them over for cookies and tea, I started asking the daughter what she was majoring in. She said she was studying linguistics. I then asked what area specifically (since it happens to be a nerdy hobby of mine). She said she was particularly interested in verbs (look, this was a dream, okay?).

"Verbs?" I asked, a bit confused.
"Yes, specifically the indefinite tense."
"That sounds very specific," I remember saying.
"Yes, well, I want to thoroughly research the split infinitive."

I woke up because I was laughing.
