Sigh. Well, at least they warn you. A lot of random sites just break in weird ways.

F.cks me up sometimes how we go on like there isn't a major war going on in Europe -- with tanks, shelling, minefields, incendiary bombing of suburbs, trench warfare... You know, that war where a crazed dictator invades a country with the sole goal to subjugate and exterminate its entire culture for speaking wrong, thinking wrong, and making the wrong kinds of choices.

Ever wondered what you'd do if you lived during WW2? It is whatever you're doing right now.

Ukraine is paying for this war with the blood of its fallen soldiers and civilians. If we don't give them all they need to win, fascism will grow stronger. If Ukraine does not prevail, it will be us and our children whose turn it will be to pay in blood when the cancer of fascism metastasizes to the next neighbour over.

Support Ukraine. Give them all they need to win. Slava heroyam.

I just did a search for the word “Ukraine” on the pages I am served when visiting news sites.

cnn.com: 0
msnbc.com: 0
foxnews.com: 0
usatoday.com: 0
bbc.com: 1

In our grand parent’s generation, millions fought and died to ensure, we could live in freedom. Now, news about college football and Taylor Swift is treated as more important, than the news about the modern day Hitler trying to crush the democracy in an EU neighboring country of 44 million people.

Dear world: Wake up!

"We are out of money to support Ukraine in this fight", says the director of the Office of Management and Budget in a letter to leaders of the US congress.

This is where we are: Ukraine could face serious setbacks — not because they make bad decisions, but because The Republican party has helped Putin turn Ukraine into a US political fight.

Shame on the Speaker of the House Mike Johnson who is using the freedom of 44 million people as a political bargaining chip.

Time for some annual holiday artsing!

I'm still struggling with convincing-looking beards, which is why I'll keep doing them. :)

Friends, if you follow me you probably understand why is important and maybe also are a @conservancy Sustainer. Part of the reason we are able to do so much (GPL enforcement! @outreachy FOSS advocacy! Fiscal sponsorship!) is because we spend our time actually doing the work, and little time on fundraising and marketing. If you're not a Sustainer, would you become one now? If you are, can you ask a friend to sign up? <3

I was involved with Radicle back when it was just starting out, but bowed out when the project started smelling strongly of crypto-token BS.

Thankfully, it would appear that they have abandoned that, so perhaps it's time to take another long look at Radicle as a distributed git forge platform, especially now that it supports issues and patch reviews.

> He took a moment to thank Konstantin Ryabitsev for the b4 tool, which has made life much easier for maintainers; the attendees responded with applause.

It's true, it happened, and it felt super good. 🥹

OK, down to two. I must confess that I will pay little to no attention to this poll when making my final decision. :)

Everyone, when picking laptops: "what's the resolution, battery life, RAM?"

Me, when picking laptops: "I just want the 'fn', '\' and '~' buttons in some sane place and a touchpad with good palm recognition that wont make the cursor jump all over the place when I type."
