I am honored to have been invited to Kernel Recipes. Sorry, no toilet paper this time. You cannot have everything, but who knows? Maybe what will be on offer this time will be better. 😉

@minipli Good point, and a later patch from Vlastimil Babka adds warnings if the slab does not fully free up in reasonable time.

@minipli Thank you for looking into this! Any thoughts on Uladzislau's prototype? https://lore.kernel.org/all/Zmw5FTX752g0vtlD@pc638.lan/

@monsieuricon Just wanted to be the tenth person to point out that it is all the coroner's fault. ;-)

@monsieuricon The story I heard was that English is what you get when Germans attempt to speak French. ;-)

But given a perfectly logically structure language, it would be messed up within two generations. Because messing it up would be seen as being cool.

@ljs @sj Given the topic, I suspect that you might soon have more translations than I do!

@ljs @sj Let's see, SeongJae started translating in about 2016, which was about ten years after I started and about five years after I did my first public release.

So you only have a few more years to wait. ;-)

On the other hand, if you are publishing formally, you might get translated sooner?

Just roll them over on their backs. That way they are helpless. Sort of like turtles.

@ljs You can of course overdo both stage fright and imposter syndrome, for example, by being paralyzed into inactivity.

@ljs I think of imposter syndrome as I do stage fright. It motivates me to be careful.

@ljs The only time I don't feel like an imposter is when I am in the midst of messing something up but good. ;-)

Best of everything with the book!
