Riding horses, hacking computers, phones and smartwatch.
@vinzv @waldi @kernellogger Actually, I did not call it ****, I called it ****. And it is pretty clear to me Tuxedo knowingly lied, trying to circumvent MODULE_LICENSE() check, when they already knew licensing was not compatible. And in process, they violated rights of existing kernel contributors.

Who are you, what is your relationship in Tuxedo (are you speaking for them?) and do you believe you know about copyright law?

@mkyral Ve skutecnosti, gtk porad delaji vicemene dobrovolnici, protoze desktop neni uplne ziskovy. Frustrovany uzivatel muze nekomu zaplatit, at to vylepsi, ale kdyz nic neplatil, at prosim nenadava timhle zpusobem. Dik.

@vinzv @waldi @kernellogger Your GPLv3 modules are GPL violation, plain and simple. Module loader would catch that, but you lied in MODULE_LICENSE(). Them people pointed out your lies, so you fixed MODLUE_LICENSE() not to lie... and then tried to reintroduce the lie, with another lie about "pending legal review" or some such ****. Public apology would be good. Complaining about the heat is not.

@mkyral Gtk delaji dobrovolnici, nadavat jim neni prijatelne. Pro zaznam, staci zmacknout "/", objevi se radka, pak napastuju strednim tlacitkem mysi. Paste strednim je stara tradice, to, ze mam zacit psat aby se objevila radka, taky celkem dava smysl.

@ljs Yeah, so it will be "colour" in interface descriptions, and then "color" in interface? That will surely work well with noone making mistakes.

@ljs Please select one English dialect and stick to it. find /sys |grep colour is empty on my system, and it should stay that way.

@GossiTheDog Please don't try taking down Mastodon. Musk is friends with Putin and Trump, and they may get some ideas...

@vinzv @waldi @kernellogger For the record, that was not single mistake. Yes, FOSS community is pretty sensitive about the licensing, but you did deserve the heat.

Falesne spolecenstvo by mohl zajimat "Tolkienův hyper-reálný život [PDT8JFCyxWU]", lidi zasazene AllatRou zas "Allatra se rozpadá: Svědectví [6S92-gJqBI8]". Oboji youtube.

@guardeddon @danct12 Well, software is harder than hardware in this case. So I guess it is N800 to the museum, get something a bit newer to help with software :-).

@aakoskin Pretty sure, yes. It looks like Gnome + web browser does not fit into 2GB.

@ozzelot Hmm. No, that should not be needed. I tried Chromium under Gnome, got "not responding, force quit?". Chromium under MATE is not great, but usable. So far it looks like problem is Gnome (on Wayland?).

@zak Yes, please, phones in 100gram range would be nice. And I guess esp32 + display + modem is not exactly rocket science, so it will happen one day...

@guardeddon @danct12 Look for Motorola Droid 4 or Nokia N900. Both should be cheap and easily available. Leste project was/is even giving some away...

@ljs This is Thinkpad Tablet 10. RAM is not expandable. I'm still using Thinkpad X60 with 3GB RAM, and is usable for basic browsing...

2GB RAM should be enough for everybody

Is it expected that x86-64 machine with 2GB RAM is not usable even for very basic browsing? I expected to be able to have two tabs with idnes.cz open. Currently it is running Debian 12, 64-bit, Gnome, Firefox, swap on MMC. What should I try first? Ad blocker? 32-bit distro? Mate? Chromium? Swap to zram? Something else I forgot?
