I have two devices (train controller and autopilot panel) that are detected as mice in Linux, breaking the desktop when they are plugged in. How to deal with them? Blacklist in kernel? Somewhere in udev

@ljs Well, what do you believe should be done there? Hong Kong is China, and that can't be fixed. (And yes, communists torture people, Ujgurs, too, probably more). Taiwan is not China, and we can probably make it stay that way. But it is really quite hard to influence country with 1e9 people and nukes. We can't even influence North Korea, 1e7 people and few nukes :-(, and have very hard time influencing Russia, 1e8 people and nukes.

@b0rk What tips? Just use distro setup, it should work. Nowadays it would usually be "esc, char", but... That really depends on your terminal. echo $TERM, man termcap, man terminfo, man curses, I guess? :-)

@savetz I had Atari 800XL booting off 386, and then connecting back to it as a terminal for two-briefcases computer. Advantage was that atari protocols were extremely simple.

@mkyral Tak je mozna cas zkusit to znova. Ono Gtk/Gnome se ted vyviji kvuli tabletum / telefonum. Na PC mam MATE (coz je stary Gnome), a ne vsechny zmeny se mi z pohledu PC libi, ale z pohledu tabletu musim uznat ze celek dava smysl...

@vinzv @waldi @kernellogger I may have the timeline wrong. But I'm pretty sure you made _two_ mistakes years ago: first, you tried to mess with kernel development process by choosing incompatible license. Second, you did it in a way that is actually illegal. :-(

And it is pretty clear to me Tuxedo knowingly lied, trying to circumvent MODULE_LICENSE() check, when they already knew licensing was not compatible. And in process, they violated rights of existing kernel contributors.

Who are you, what is your relationship in Tuxedo (are you speaking for them?) and do you believe you know about copyright law?
