Riding horses, hacking computers, phones and smartwatch.
@dcz I want to understand what colors I can use. So far, things don't make sense, but dithering should be usable given the resolution. And at least I can get data for emulator to match the clock.

It can't even display black! But it has two whites, almost identical.

How does one calibrate colors on reflective screen? I guess printed charts would be useful...

So #banglejs2 display is great at sunlight, but not so great at displaying color.

+/* With backlight on, fujitsu desktop monitor, gimp color picker
+
+ H S V
+ 0 Black is #403f5f 241 33% 37%
+
+ 1 Blue is about #4b6ec0 222 33% 61%
+ 2 Green is #839d68 89 33% 61%
+ 3 "sage green" #7ea581 123 23% 64%
+ 4 Red is about #9d6868 0 33% 61%
+ 5 "muted mauve" #897593 280 20% 57%
+ 6 "sage gray" #cdd5bc 79 11% 83%
+
+ 7 White is cca #a3e8b0 131 30% 91%

Hints how to convert web colors into this base would be welcome. It is 3-bit display, but I can do dithering, I guess...

Framebuffer with 3bits per pixel, width of 176, and first pixel is likely framebuffer[0] & 0xe0; Wow. #banglejs2

@mkyral @fredbrooker @danielsnor Ne nutne. Zalezi jak budou napsany ty zakony. V mnoha zemich to funguje.

@ozzelot Often my goals are something else than software development, and then LLM can be useful. Sure, I could do better work given enough time and motivation, but if LLM is good enough...

@Strwpok @kornel Does Apple watch do anything that should require 2GHz CPU? (Does it even run doom? :-) )

@kornel Good news is that we can put 2GHz system into smartwatch. Bad news is that people are putting 2GHz systems into smartwatch, that 2GHz CPUs are now required for displaying time :-(. You know, battery life still suffers with 2GHz CPUs.You can get month with bangle.js2, or day with Apple...

@ozzelot Thanks for the offer. If you are serious about putting bad apple there, I may consider it :-). But in reality, I do have a bit too many hardware toys at the moment.

@luna You should still note what was right answer, so that people won't have to run C++. AFAICT it is 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, but ...

@winter @airtower Well, thanks for ethics lecture, but we are mostly not there with the language models. My experiments are here -- https://gitlab.com/tui/tui/-/tree/master/vosk?ref_type=heads . It was hard enough to get chatgpt 4o to recognize what user wants, and models I could run on 8GB machine just plain did not work in useful way. Maybe 128GB machine would make a difference?
