Riding horses, hacking computers, phones and smartwatch.
@ozzelot That's pretty accurate. You also need carrots :-).

@dcz So... solver may be good idea, but it should be possible do that with Lua. I know prolog, but it is not "traditional" language and using it for all configuration is "interesting".

@ozzelot Well, but to be horse-friendly, you need meadow-office :-).

@dcz Yes, prolog is powerful... but I'm not sure I want to see it embedded anywhere. That's third language in the project, and uncommon one, too :-(.

@liliputing_ Heh. "Weight: TBD". Any idea if it will be in 200g range? 500g range? I guess I have too many toys, anyway, but...

@jiska Not sure what your requirements are, but #banglejs2 smartwatch are pretty nice in their category. (256KB RAM). And then there's AsteroidOS.

@jimmac Thanks. History is important... and it is interesting to see outside perspective. (I'm "Czechoslovak" :-) ).

@osnews Few days ago, I created script to do just that with LLM, locally. It makes sense, would not call it hype... and would not call it "AI".

@mkyral @michal Ocekval bych, ze to bude podobne, jako kdyz se zkusite najist ... ja nevim ... zivych cervu. Bud telo rekne "ne" rovnou pri jidle, nebo hadam ze to proste vrati :-(.

@hrw @agturcz I have some cheap cr2302-powered scales here, and they are self-consistent within that 0.1kg. They don't work well on carpet.

@aspensmonster @Gargron Yeah, well... Spreading hate is not ok. Some people should go to jail, and fedi should get better moderation.

@nijel Even old Nokias designed for custom chargers were 15V tolerant... so this is probably not as bad as it looks. If you are designing device with USB-C, you should be ready for 20V, really... Still, this is not good.

@Gargron Well, my impression is that that Mastodon/Fediverse is a bit more ... radical ... than I'd like. In particular I'm not sure that all the "eat the rich" or "kill the naciz" are joke.

@atax1a @ozzelot Well, some time ago, Google had "Don't be evil" as a motto. Situation is similar there :-(.

https://www.seznamzpravy.cz/clanek/ekonomika-firmy-buh-ve-stroji-klony-lidi-koupite-do-tri-let-v-krame-rika-muz-z-openai-267357 Jo, jazykovy model zpovednikem, co by se mohlo pokazit? Kdo bude zodpovedny, az ten "jezis" nekomu poradi at skoci z mostu? Fakt je prace realitniho agenta tak "zodpovedna", ze nevadi, kdyz tam dame halucinujici AI? Beru to jako ze si OpenAI dela levnou reklamu, ale zodpovedne mi to neprijde

@chmee2 Asi bych nesouhlasil s titulkem. Clovek nedokaze ovlivnovat sopteni sopek, stejne jako to nedokazou kravy... I kdyz kravy i clovek zpusobuji globalni oteplovani a to vliv ma.

@chmee2 Hmm. Nerikejte sekte AllatRa. Ta tvrdi, ze pokud se vsichni nespojime (pod jejich vedenim, samozrejme), tak nas v roce 2035 zlikvidujou supervulkany.. (Datum si presne nepamatuju, ale uz vi den i hodinu!)

@david_chisnall We really should give language interfaces a chance. Programming languages and existing interfaces are cool if you can type fast and have nice big screen nearby.

Driving car is one example, walking / riding is another. I'd really like to do basic stuff (play music, give me weather, take a note, summarize latest news about recent plane crash) without screen/keyboard and current technology should be good enough for that.

Heck, I'd like a cellphone that's 60 grams, not 200 grams and actually fits into pocket. That likely means small screen, but that's a good tradeoff for me.

(Plus LLMs have other uses. They are quite good at translations, for example. Of course, people are trying to use them for unsuitable stuff, too).
