Thorsten Leemhuis (acct. 1/4)

What Thorsten does on a Saturday afternoon after riding 70 km on a Mountain bike[1]:

Successfully motivate @gregkh to queue a fix for a Bluetooth regression in 6.8.2 (Oops/NULL pointer dereference) within a few hours after being CCed on the report (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218651#c12). The problem thus should vanish with 6.8.3. 😄

[1] through the North German Plain, so no mountains in sight – but there was quite some mud in some places so it was the right bike for the trip: https://www.strava.com/activities/11068427557

@slade @gregkh

Don't be jealous, just enjoy your own trips at whatever length is comfortable for you now or in the future. People are all build differently and for some it's simply easier to ride longer; that's not fair, but that's sadly how life is.

@kernellogger @gregkh What Lorenzo does on a Saturday afternoon after riding 3km on a Toyota Corola[1]:

@kernellogger @gregkh oh my, did stable became bug-for-bug compatible with mainline again? Because that's what everyone wants from "stable"? When "mainline" means rc1? Cc @oleksandr @pavel

@kernellogger @gregkh @pavel @vbabka I don't know, I just don't use -stable any more. It's unstable for me.

@vbabka @kernellogger @gregkh @oleksandr -stable as usual, I'm afraid. CIP project is trying to limit the damage, but... I guess good first step would be documenting "real" stable kernel rules, because they are very different from what documentation says.
