Hi everyone, for several hours we are currently fighting with potentially malicious crawling. We are seeing distributed access on Codeberg that could have been crawling, however it seems to only use the most expensive routes. And each time we block an access pattern, a new one pops up immediately.
We are doing our best to keep the performance up.

PSA: please don't use git.kernel.org directly for your CI needs. It is not viable for us to provide enough capacity to withstand dozens of CI nodes all trying to clone linux.git at the same time for multiple CI farms. You *will* get ip-blocked. Please set up a local mirror and hit that instead.

My colleagues frequently encountered patch corruption issues with mail servers. They were impressed when I introduced the concept of web endpoint submission.
Thanks to @monsieuricon for such a wonderful tool.

Me: I'll bring this new node and route a small part of the outgoing mail through it to build up IP reputation.
Spamhaus: there's an IP on your ::/64 that's been sending spam, so we've now blocked that entire subnet, lol.

Goddammit, the "bad thing about nazis" is that they believe some humans are inherently better than others. Invading Poland and starting a genocide is just a side-effect of that conviction and is its inevitable outcome.

Do you know someone at OVH who I can reach out to for hosting EU kernel.org frontends? We have a solution, but it doesn't hurt to diversify.
