@Luigi311 @CalcProgrammer1 @NekoCWD You ... really need AF algorithm, sorry. Manual focus on phone screen with no hints... just does not work well. Feel free to take a look at megapixels, AF is somehow working in there. And you don't even need to do it in libcamera, you can do it in application, too, even if that is wrong place.

I have complex set of functions in rust, and in inner loop, there's an if, which is constant for whole group. I'd really like compiler to build two versions of function set, one for if false, one for if true. Is there canonical way to do that in rust? And yes, code seems to be _that_ time critical.

@CalcProgrammer1 Original PinePhone was doing focus in hardware. Maybe it needs special firmware or something. It can also encode jpegs in hardware etc, it is rather unusual setup.

@discatte Take a look at Bangle.js2. That display is quite high resolution, and reflective. It can emulate pixel gaps, at least one tamagotchi emulator used that to produce interesting effects.

@CalcProgrammer1 Hey, that's quite cool. Could you check if you can record video, and if so, in what resolution? I am working on video recording on Librem 5 -- should be able to record in 384p forever -- and would like comparison.

@dos @newbyte USB-C is black magic. Various cables will not work for fast charging simply because internal resistance is too high.

@mkyral @jancibulka Podobne jako v pripade voleb, i tady je papir super vec. Zamenit vysledky v pocitaci je snadne, vymenit hlasovaci listky ve vetsim meritku je tezke. Ukrast databazi ministerstva je snadne, nehlede na to ze bych se vubec nedivil kdyby ji ministerstvo omylem dalo nekam nezabezpecenou. Okopirovat papirove knihy nepozorovane a ve velkem je tezsi.

U silnice muze stat babicka a opisovat SPZ. Ale ve chvili kdy to dela kamera automaticky je to jina kava. Ochrana soukromi...

Para z rychlovarne konvice by asi nemela jit pres vypinac? Aha, tak rychle sundat, cela konvice je nejaka horka. Na te desce s kontakty by asi nemela byt voda...? A hadam ze ten plast nema tak divny tvar z vyroby, to se asi roztavil....

@NekoCWD @libcamera @pipewire @postmarketOS I see, libcamera improved while I was not looking. Still no autofocus... and needs newer meson than I have on Librem 5. Anyway, I should probably take another look.

@tbernard @jimmac Physical size of lens matters when you are shooting in low-light conditions. Sensor size matters a lot, too. There are good reasons why iPhone can't take photos with iso 128000...

@martijnbraam Some time ago you had blog post about how input levels on camera are not nearly linear... and then some bad pictures. So I copied your numbers, integrated it into grw2rbg, and I'm getting some not so bad pictures.
