Riding horses, hacking computers, phones and smartwatch.
@okias Thanks for the hint. I was able to find a right place to fix in pmaports, but did not figure out that I have to increase release number. Now it compiles (and fails on mounting root). gitlab seems to be alive, I'll continue there.

Trying to get postmarketos to install on cutiepi. This blocks me so far...

@cas I have my fingers crossed for you. And ping me if you get camera working, that will mean it 1+ 6 is a cute toy.

@vbabka @ljs Python actually makes sense for a lot of stuff. It is BASIC of this century... Perl is ... more of shell.

@lkundrak @vbabka Well, game theory provides more useful vocabulary. Being "too brave" is very risky with nuclear weapons. See "International Relations 101 Full Course -- William Spaniel", available on yt.

@vbabka Game theory is complex. West priorities are: 1) no escalation, 2) Russia does not win, 3) preferably someone else pays for that. And results are as we seen :-(.

@craftyguy @vestige The disadvantage is that you don't know how long the built-in UPS lasts. It is the component that seems to die first :-(.

@jpm @CursedFootprint Maybe there's much higher voltage between pins that are far apart?

@airtower @aurora Umm. I hope this is stuff for consenting adults :-).

But yes, headcollar with some conduction is reportedly useful for horses that learn to go through electric fences.

@vbabka Thanks for bringing up the stable-rules vs. reality debate. You have longer reply in the email, and yes, it would be good to make the docs match the reality. Somewhere around 30% of patches in -stable do not meet the published rules AFAICT.

@airtower You should not be getting signd-off-by's from people. That's for maintainers. If you simply put tested-by and acked-by entries before your sign-off, you should be fine. Their order should not matter much.

@krafter Hehe. Camera on OnePlus 6 will be hard, and really, there's a lot of work there. Working libcamera on PinePhone, PPP and L5 would be great. As would be video recording on those.

@craftyguy I want help (but outside of that area). But I don't think my old phones are exactly suitable. lenovo.a2016a40 with MediaTek MTK 6735m -- that will be hard, right? Looking for OnePlus 6, but those are untrivial to get. CutiePi -- rpi inside -- would that be suitable target? Is there anything I could buy which would be sure to get good support eventually? fp4 / fp5?

@dcz Is this for software keyboard? https://pc.bazos.cz/inzerat/180745398/lenovo-thinkpad-p15v-g3-156-r5-6650h16gb512gbfhd1rzdph.php This is what people are actually using here (note badly visible czech symbols near numbers). But my Acer has "7"-style enter, and also czech symbols. Apparanently czech layout is whatever keyboard you get + "+escrzyaie='" in the number row and few other secondary characters. Also we are QWERTZ, not QWERTY. I'd go with the Lenovo layout from bazos picture.

@dcz ...for example my desktop keyboard has "J" shaped enter, and backspace as big as "G" key. Acer notebook has "7" shaped enter and backspace bigger than two "G" keys.

@dcz Czech keyboards don't really have good standard. There is all sorts of weird stuff around.
