@linmob @insl @islamicaudiobooks Of course, Furilabs can do the minimum required by law, but what was the reason to care about their hardware? Fairphone is actually doing more than minimum required -- they are working on upstreaming their kernel changes, perhaps take that one, instead? Or PinePhone? Or Librem 5? Ore OnePlus 6 (where vendor did the minimum but community is doing lot more)?

Venku ma pry byt potopa sveta, ale ja jsem v pohode. Teda pravda, narozdil od vcerejska v potoku v roure pod barakem uz tece voda... coz je asi dobry, lepsi nez kdyby se nekde hromadila. Dokonce to vypada ze stihnu i zkontrolovat kone, venku prestalo prset. Aha, tak ne, zase zacalo. Na kolo to dneska nevypada, tak co takhle rotoped? Mam ho pripojenej k pocitaci a zavodim s nejakejma figurkama... a najendou prask, cerna obrazovka. Ze by havarie systemu? Obrazovka se jeste rozsveci, ale potom zhasi, zhasi i kontrolka na nabijecce, vlastne zhasi vsechno. A to neni dobry, protoze tady je na elektrinu uplne vsechno, vcetne topeni a vody... o internetu a monitorech nemluvim.

A energie moc nemam. Tak 40Wh v jednom notebooku, mozna 20Wh v druhym (ale k tem se neda moc dostat), 24Wh v telefonech ktery nepouzivam, a ten ktery bych rad pouzival je vybitej. Oops. A pak autobaterie. Nezapominat na autobaterii... 5kWh, a o hodne vic v nadrzi.

Vody mam nejakejch 30l v lahvich. Jo, mel jsem jich naplnit vic, jenze vcera to vypadalo tak optimisticky... a pak jeste muzu jednou splachnout. Jo a plnej bojler, ale k ty vode se neda dostat. A teda sud plny destovy vody, a potok plnej jakysi tekuty hliny :-).

Tak elektrina je konzistentni -- nejde. Ale aspon zacly jit data na mobilnim telefonu... (trochu. 20KB/sec neni uplne rychlost obvykla v tomhle tisicileti). A hele, tak jsem to zakrik', elektrina nabehla. Uvidime, na jak dlouho. Lednicku davam do modu "maximalni chlazeni", ale obavam se ze pulminutovy pulzy ji uplne nevytrhnou. 66%.

Tak dobry, kun je zkontrolovanej.... No, vypadalo to ze me v zimni bunde nepoznal, ale zije. Risovi a ponici jsme asi udelali radost. Cesta autem byla zajimava -- nikde nikdo, a vsude tma. Doma tma a zima. V lednici tma a teplo. Oops. Pokusil jsem se dat notebooka nabit v aute, ale nepovedlo se -- porad 45%. Ted se na ulici sviti, ale jinak beze zmeny.

My horse did not swim away (good), and power outage only lasted 5 hours (good I guess).

But it is not yet over. Expect problems on railways, at least.

@mkyral @archos @GuloGulo Tlacitko ma tu vyhodu, ze se jim da telefon zaroven probudit... kdezto normalni sekvence je power+swipe nebo power+pin. A tusim ze je dokonce zvykem dovolit foceni bez zadani hesla a nedovolit s fotaku pristup nikam.

@etchedpixels @Migueldeicaza @mcdanlj I'm afraid "well written ANSI C" code is quite rare. I'm pretty sure it LibreOffice, Gimp and Firefox would ... "not be trivial to get running"? :-). Not sure if emacs and bash would be easy to run...

@Luigi311 @rmader There's no universal camera library. Manual controls are way easier than auto. Take a look at libcamera and megapixels.

@kernellogger Umm. Travelling to Vienna by train, you may want to start few days early :-). So far, predictions of heavy rain seem to have shifted to Friday. But ... what you should know about czech railways: a) likely, flooding will not be this bad and b) likely, trains will still not be going according to timetables. Our trains have problems even under "normal" circumstances, and this weekend will likely not be "normal".
